BMI Pres./CEO DEL BRYANT has announced a new alignment in the company’s senior management team. The restructuring is taking place due to BMI’s EVP/COO JOHN CODY and Landmark Digital Services Managing Dir. ROBERT BARONE retiring at the end of 2010.
BMI/NEW YORK VP/New Media & Strategic Development RICHARD CONLON has been upped to SVP/Corporate Strategy, Communications & New Media. In his expanded role, CONLON will assume responsibility for BMI’s Corporate Communications & Marketing and Corporate Planning departments. He will remain based in NEW YORK.
BMI Chief Financial Officer BRUCE ESWORTHY has added new duties as SVP/Finance & Administration, overseeing Human Resources and Facilities. He will also manage the Finance & Accounting departments. ESWORTHY will stay based out of the NASHVILLE office.
Concurrently, SVP/Licensing MICHAEL O’NEILL now holds the newly-established position of SVP/Repertoire & Licensing. In this expansion of his role, he adds oversight of BMI’s Writer/Publisher Relations, Performing Rights and Special Projects departments. He will continue to be based in the NEW YORK headquarters.
BRYANT said: “BMI has a dynamic group of executives — at the senior level and throughout the company — who are committed to sustaining a vibrant and growing marketplace for copyright. These well-deserved promotions, new responsibilities and structure will allow us to continue to lead our sector at a time of great change, maintaining BMI’s position as one of the strongest companies in the global entertainment industry.”
