Three new metered markets showed the effect of baseball on ARBITRON ratings right off the bat on Opening Day this season.
For the opening games on APRIL 5th, CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WLW-A/CINCINNATI drew a 51.3 share of Men 25-54 for the REDS' opener; ENTERCOM Sports KCSP-A (610 SPORTS RADIO)/KANSAS CITY pulled in a 25.3 share in that demo for the ROYALS game; and CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTAM-A/CLEVELAND attracted a 20.5 share of the demo for the INDIANS' opener. All three games aired in afternoon time slots.
ARBITRON Sports Manager CHRIS MEINHARDT said, "The addition of these three heartland teams to the Radio Report show large in-game estimates reflecting the loyalty of nearly a century and a half of AMERICA's favorite pastime."
