GREATER MEDIA Rocker WMMR/PHILADELPHIA signs a mulit-year deal with market veteran air talent MATT CORD through 2009. Negotiations had been ongoing since CORD joined the station full time in July last year, replacing the DEE SNIDER nighttime show. CORD worked previously for the now-defunct Y100 with a prior stint at WMMR.
"WMMR is well into the process of re-taking their position as the leader in PHILLY radio and it's just plain exciting to be back where I started and to be an important part of an incredible air staff," said CORD. CORD is considered to be among the most experienced air staff in PHILADELPHIA and is part of a weekday lineup that includes PRESTON ELLIOT & STEVE MORRISON, PIERRE ROBERT, JAXON and RANDY KOTZ.
“Having a show host like MATT who knows the market inside and out, is favored with a multitude of personal relationships including PHILLY sports stars and local celebs, plus he can ring up PEARL JAM on a whim. Well, he’s just a great asset for WMMR, ” added WMMR PD BILL WESTON.
