THE CONCLAVE announced today that GREATER MEDIA Rock WRIF/DETROIT is airing a public service campaign touting the Conclave’s 2006 scholarship to THE SPECS HOWARD SCHOOL OF BROADCASTING ARTS. Imploring listener’s to follow their dreams, the promo states, “It is said that one out of every four people hate their jobs…don’t be one of those people. Do something you love like working in the radio or music business.”
THE CONCLAVE’s 2006 scholarship application drive for the radio and television broadcast scholarships given annually to three nationally recognized educational institutions also includes a radio scholarship to attend BROWN COLLEGE in MINNEAPOLIS, and one Music Business scholarship that will be awarded to the MCNALLY SMITH COLLEGE OF MUSIC in ST. PAUL. CONCLAVE scholarships represent a value of over $65,000.
In addition to the WRIF campaign, the Conclave is also offering a unique, offbeat interview opportunity for radio stations interested in promoting the scholarships. Two former Scholarship winners and current CONCLAVE board members are available for interviews, including KCVM/CEDAR FALLS-WATERLOO, IA PD/air talent JAMIE PHILLIPS.
Information and entry forms for the Scholarships are now available inside career counseling offices at high schools around the country, or by visiting the CONCALVE website. The 2006 CONCLAVE LEARNING CONFERENCE, dubbed "Future Tense!," will kick-off on Thursday July 13th with it’s exclusive 5 hour Promotion Summit, followed by the highly anticipated Conclave College, followed by two more days of keynotes, entertainment, learning, problem solving, networking and fun!
