LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA AC WLYF (101.5 LITE FM)/MIAMI wraps up a three-month search, revealing that WILKS AC KCKC (STAR 102)/KANSAS CITY 11 year-APD/midday host JEANNE ASHLEY will join the station THURSDAY, MAY 20th for evenings. She replaces KIMBA who exited earlier this year for afternoons at crosstown WFLC.
In making the announcement, WLYF Dir./Programming & Ops ROB SIDNEY noted, "JEANNE is passionate about listener and client service; a fierce champion for her station -- on the air, online and on location. In short, she's an ideal addition to the remarkable cast we've assembled at LITE FM."
ASHLEY told ALL ACCESS, "It's taken me 23 years of working with the most brilliant minds in radio to prepare me for this, the most coveted of AC gigs. WLYF is a giant and I am thrilled to be welcomed by PD/genius ROB SIDNEY into their wall of women. To join the ranks of SUSAN, GAYLE, ELLEN and LITE FM's stallions, JEFF MARTIN, BRYAN SHINE, PAT, DENNY and ED is truly an honor and the stuff that dreams (and some Etch A Sketch skills) are made of. I am so looking forward to contributing to LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA's commitment to live and local radio in SOUTH FLORIDA. We're gonna have a ball!"
Prior to KANSAS CITY, JEANNE held similar responsibilities at WYYY/SYRACUSE and WLZW/UTICA.
