Luke Bryan And Mom Appear On GAC Mother's Day Special

CAPITOL RECORDS/NASHVILLE artist LUKE BRYAN will join host NAN KELLEY for a special MOTHER’s DAY GAC-TOP 20 COUNTDOWN, on FRIDAY, MAY 7th at 8p (ET) on GAC-TV. LUKE and his mom, LeCLAIRE will both be on the show. Among other topics, one of the things they’ll discuss, is BRYAN’s recent win at the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS as “Top New Artist.” “I was worried that if I won, she might die,” said LUKE.

“I think I was hyperventilating,” said LeCLAIRE of the moments leading up to the announcement that her son had won. “When I heard the ‘L’ come out (of the presenter’s mouth) I fell over into the lap of the man seated next to me, breaking a toenail and scraping my hand!” While LUKE tried to maintain his calm, he says the three minutes between his live performance and the presentation of his category was “a real intense three minutes of my life.”

The special MOTHER’s DAY episode of GAC’s TOP 20 COUNTDOWN will re-air SATURDAY, MAY 8th, at 10a and 5:30p (ET), and SUNDAY, MAY 9th at 12p (ET) and then MONDAY, MAY 10th at 10a (ET).
