Spring Break In San Antonio With KXXM

CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KXXM (MIX 96.1)/SAN ANTONIO afternoon RUSSELL RUSH, who ran up against a budgetary roadblock on his plans to have management send him to CANCUN for a weeklong broadcast from beach, decided to do his own Spring Break Party from the studio.

But, since most of the listeners were on their way to CANCUN, SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, and CORPUS CHRISTI, the only folks who showed were two homeless dudes, HECTOR and JESSE. RUSSELL put them to work for a week on the air and the phone lines were jammed with questions about their "lifestyle".

That evolved into the "Bum Olympics" where where HECTOR took home the "Golden Shower" award for dumpster diving. KXXM PD TONY TRAVATTO commented, "Great experience for RUSSELL, considering he'll probably be homeless soon."
