At the NAB RADIO SHOW in PHILADELPHIA on FRIDAY(9/23), ALL ACCESS MUSIC GROUP Pres. JOEL DENVER ate a cheesesteak at MAMA'S PIZZERIA in BALA-CYNWYD. The cheesesteak, which ALL ACCESS hears was adorned by mushrooms, was "excellent," according to DENVER.
While DENVER lunched, ALL ACCESS sales whiz PAUL COLBERT enjoyed his very first cheesesteak loaded with hot peppers and had a MAMA'S waitress take his photograph with the gargantuan sandwich, making a clear indication to the staff and management that he is not from PHILADELPHIA.
Meanwhile, ALL ACCESS News-Talk-Sports Editor (and former PHILLY resident) PERRY MICHAEL SIMON was generally ignored by conference attendees while he sat in the back of several panel discussions and nodded off to sleep. SIMON had some good news on FRIDAY, however, as the two shirts he dropped off with the LOEWS PHILADELPHIA HOTEL staff to be laundered finally turned up cleaned and pressed. The staff had lost the shirts on THURSDAY, necessitating a long and contentious discussion at the hotel's front desk late THURSDAY night. Unfortunately, the shirts did not arrive early enough to be worn at the convention; SIMON ended up wearing a casual paisley short-sleeved shirt with khakis, obscured by a sports jacket to avoid further embarrassment.
He tells ALL ACCESS that he is disappointed that he will be unable to stay in town SUNDAY to see his beloved IGGLES beat OAKLAND, but is drowning his disappointment in pizza steaks, soft pretzels, and Tastykakes.
