Chris Palmer Tapped As VP/Promotion For Warner/Atlantic/Reprise

WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE (WMN) has tapped music industry veteran CHRIS PALMER, formerly of LYRIC STREET RECORDS, as VP/Promotion for the newly-created promotion team known as WARNER BROS., ATLANTIC & REPRISE (WAR). CHRIS spent 12 years at LYRIC STREET before the DISNEY imprint closed its NASHVILLE doors last month (NET NEWS 4/14). His first day on the job is JUNE 14th.

Before joining LYRIC STREET in 1998 as the Northeast Regional he had an extensive career in radio, having programmed stations such as CITADEL Country WHWK/BINGHAMTON, NY, QANTUM Communications Country WGTR/MYRTLE BEACH, SC and others.

WAR’s promotion staff includes RHONDA CHRISTENSEN (West Coast), NATHAN CRUISE (Southeast), RAY VAUGHN (Southwest) and LINDSAY WALLEMAN (Midwest), as well as Promotion Coordinator CAROLYN DROSEY. They will be working as a complement to WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE’s current promotion staff, overseen by VP/Promotion BOB REEVES.

WMN’s two radio promotion teams will not be label specific, but rather artist specific with each team focusing their resources on individual artist projects.

More WARNER MUSIC staff additions will be announced in the coming weeks.
