ICONIC RECORDS/LINUS ENTERTAINMENT/E1 artist MINDY McCREADY has been hospitalized, as of 11:30 (CT) it was confirmed.  The artist, whose been the subject of recent controversy because of her sex tape, “Baseball Mistress,” was taken to CAPE CORAL HOSPITAL this morning, as it was confirmed by her Ft. MEYERS attorney.

McCREADY’s family has issued a statement that they are “requesting privacy and requesting prayers,” and that more information will be released as it is available.

Meanwhile, TMZ is a slightly different story. BRENT YOUNG, McCREADY's rep is saying that the artist broke her toe and after complaining about the pain, her mom gave her four DARVOCET pills. DARVOCET is a narcotic. 

McCREADY and her mother have been fighting over custody of McCREADY's child -- and YOUNG said the mom "overreacted" and called 911.

As of 2p (CT) today (05/25), McCREADY's camp is saying the TMZ story is un-confirmed and that YOUNG is not employed by their organization.
