CBS RADIO Sports KILT-A (SPORTSRADIO 610)/HOUSTON inks the HOUSTON ROCKETS to a partnership extension that will keep the NBA team's games on the station. The deal also includes continued ROCKETS-specific shows and additional cross-promotional opportunities with the other CBS RADIO stations in the market. THe ROCKETS have aired on SPORTSRADIO 610 since 2002. CRAIG ACKERMAN will continue as play-by-play voice, with JOEL BLANK as studio host.
"We look forward to continuing the great relationship we have established with SportsRadio 610 over the years," said ROCKETS and CLUTCH CITY SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CEO TAD BROWN. "In addition to our outstanding partnership, fans throughout the city have grown accustomed to finding ROCKETS games on SPORTSRADIO 610. This familiarity will ensure that we continue providing our fans with the best ROCKETS-related programming."
"We couldn't be more thrilled to continue to be a part of RED NATION as the ROCKETS flagship," said SPORTSRADIO 610 PD GAVIN SPITTLE. "The excitement of the games makes for great radio programming, and the relationship we share with both the players and team personnel ensures our listeners stay as close to the action as possible. The Rockets are a terrific organization and a great fit for HOUSTON's Sports Leader."
