TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO PD LEN WEINER exits to join Sports simulcast WAMG-A-WLLH-A (ESPN BOSTON)/BOSTON as PD effective APRIL 5, replacing DOUG TRIBOU.
WEINER, whose experience includes serving as Exec. Producer at WFAN-A/NEW YORK, PD at the original KMPC-A/LOS ANGELES in its Sports format years, PD/Asst. GM at ESPN RADIO, and PD at Sports WMVP-A (ESPN 1000)/CHICAGO, says in a press release that "I'm very excited to be back with the ESPN family where I spent some of the best years of my career, and I look forward to helping ESPN build its brand in BOSTON. BOSTON is a great sports town and ESPN is a great sports name so it’s a great match. I'll be forever thankful to the people at WGN for giving me a chance to be part of its rich history, an experience I will always treasure."
And that leaves WGN VP/GM TOM LANGMYER looking for WEINER's replacement. LANGMYER tells ALL ACCESS that he's looking for an experienced PD who has managed a large staff of live and local talent. Interested candidates should send resumes in confidence to LANGMYER at WGNPD@tribune.com.
