TAOS COMMUNICATION CORP Triple A KTAO/TAOS, NM, owner BRAD HOCKMEYER is selling his majority interest in the solar-powered radio station to a group of station employees.  The employees are also buying LMA’d AC KLNN (LUNA 103.7)/QUESTA-TAOS, NM (owned by SBR’s JOHN BRADLEY AND DAVE RAHN, among others).  See here for more details on the sale. 

The purchasers include two couples that work for KTAO:  Production director KATIE SPEIRS BAIN and her husband, Engineer/IT Director AIDAN BAIN; and Sales Manager KATE BLACK and her husband SHANNON BLACK, who operates the Solar Center. The purchase also includes Five Magazine, Revolution Records and the KTAO Solar Center and its liquor license.

According to the TAOS NEWS, the new ownership group plans to keep the Triple A format on KTAO. Host PADDY MAC will stay on the air and, with the exception of Station manager BRANDT LEGG (who plans to leave the station) current personnel will stay put. HOCKMEYER will retain a small ownership stake in KTAO and will remain actively involved. 

The FCC approval of the sale is expected by the end of SUMMER.
