The syndicated RICK & BUBBA SHOW reportedly has slammed President BARACK OBAMA for proclaiming JUNE Gay Pride month. ONTOPMAG.COM reports "RICK BURGESS of THE RICK & BUBBA SHOW complained THURSDAY that the president's proclamation was an endorsement of sin."
"We got an administration where we all currently live that are asking all of us, including those of us with a biblical world view, to embrace sin for a month and celebrate it," BURGESS told his audience.
BURGESS was responding to OBAMA praising the LGBT community in his proclamation calling for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," the law that forbids gay troops from revealing their sexuality. Saying that "our Nation draws its strength from our diversity," OBAMA called upon Americans to "observe this month by fighting prejudice and discrimination in their own lives and everywhere it exists."
We got an administration where we all currently live that are asking all of us, including those of us with a biblical world view, to embrace sin for a month and celebrate it.
Co-host BILL "BUBBA" BUSSEY called the proclamation "hilarious" and asked, "Who at the White House wrote this?"
BURGESS said the proclamation is "offensive" because there is "no way to biblically justify this lifestyle," and took the opportunity to liken gay relationships to an adulterous affair. "If you are struggling with homosexuality, your sin in no more horrible than the sexual sins of the heterosexual, but it's also not special, it doesn't get a pass. I don't struggle with homosexuality, but every man will tell you that [he] struggles with sexual sins that are heterosexual, meaning lust, fornication, pornography. Which are sins just like homosexuality. But I would dare to say that we would never declare fornication pride month, where we are to embrace those who have multiple lovers and have been adulterers and what they've done for AMERICA," he added.
