The ILLINOIS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION issued its Silver Dome Awards for 2010 at its annual convention last week, and TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO (CHICAGO market), WITHERS BROADCASTING AC WVZA (105.1 VZA)/MARION (medium market) and NEUHOFF BROADCASTING Talk WDAN-A/DANVILLE (small market) were named Stations of the Year.

VOCALO.ORG's ROBERT FEDER also reports that the IBA gave a posthumous Broadcast Pioneer Award to motorsports host and commercial voiceover specialist ("SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!") JAN GABRIEL and is inducting OPRAH WINFREY into its Hall of Fame. Radio programming veteran JOHN GEHRON has moved up to Chairman of the IBA.
