Cincinnati LPFM Sets Debut

New low-power WVQC-LP/CINCINNATI plans to sign on the air FRIDAY (7/2), reports the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER's JOHN KIESEWETTER. The station, operated by MEDIA BRIDGES and serving the OVER-THE-RHINE section of the city, will ultimately share time with two other LPFMs, operated by FOREST HILLS SCHOOLS and OUR LADY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT CENTER, which are not yet ready to sign on.

The stations face a challenge from COX RADIO Talk WHIO-F/PIQUA-DAYTON, which is considering applying for a transmitter site change that may knock the LPFMs off the 95.7 FM slot.
