Former SUSQUEHANNA Sports KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO host LARRY KRUEGER has settled his suit against the station for wrongful dismissal. Terms of the settlement remain confidential.
KRUEGER, producer TONY RHEIN, and PD BOB AGNEW were fired after KRUEGER's "brain-dead Caribbean hitters" comments about the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS and a subsequent morning show bit making light of manager FELIPE ALOU's virulent reaction to KRUEGER's comments and attempted apology.
KRUEGER and RHEIN filed separate suits for wrongful termination and defamation against SUSQUEHANNA, the station, and VP/GM TONY SALVADORE in OCTOBER. AGNEW moved on to join crosstown Talk KNEW-A and KQKE-A as PD; KRUEGER joined crosstown KGO-A for sports commentary duties and also appears weekends on Sports KHTK-A/SACRAMENTO.
