Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Helps KYGO Celebrate 30 Years

LINCOLN FINANCIAL Country KYGO/DENVER celebrated its 30th anniversary by hosting a mystery concert at the GRIZZLY ROSE for contest winners last WEDNESDAY (7/7). The NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND, who are from DENVER, was revealed as the mystery performer. Promotion Dir. PAUL HELING says that the band played a big role in helping the station grow early on.
The event featured appearances by all four programmers that have worked at the station throughout its 30 years, including BOB CALL (who is currently the VP/GM), RICK JACKSON, JOHN ST. JOHN and current PD JOEL BURKE. The 30th anniversary celebration will continue JULY 31st, with a concert for the public headlined by CURB/NASHVILLE artist TIM McGRAW and special guest, CAPITOL/NASHVILLE’s LADY ANTEBELLUM.
