The OAKLAND ATHLETICS will honor late longtime radio voice BILL KING on MONDAY as the A's open their 2006 season against the NEW YORK YANKEES.
KING died OCTOBER 18 and will be honored with a moment of silence and a video tribute before the game and a patch with his trademark "Holy TOLEDO" on the A's home uniforms all season. In addition, the COLISEUM radio booth will be named after KING, who handled play-by-play for A's radio broadcasts for 25 years.
