CHAM Returns To Country

Drops Talk

ASTRAL RADIO has flipped Talk CHAM-A (TALK 820)/HAMILTON back to Country. CHAM had been a Country outlet for 15 years before flipping to Talk in 2008. The move, at noon THURSDAY (6/22), resulted in the firing of about 13 employees, including hosts JASON FARR, DAVE SHUTTLEWORTH and MIKE BULLARD, according to the HAMILTON SPECTATOR.

The station is in the midst of an eight-day, commercial-free run before introducing its new lineup, which will include incumbent MIKE NABUURS in mornings with BECKY COLES co-hosting and HAMILTON BULLDOGS hockey, TORONTO BLUE JAYS baseball, and SUNDAY night NFL football continuing.
