Former Seattle Station Owner Alexander Stewart Ballinger Passes

Condolences to family and friends of former SEATTLE-area station owner ALEXANDER STEWART (STEW) BALLINGER, who died last MONDAY (7/19) in SEATTLE, six days short of his 96th birthday, according to the SEATTLE TIMES.

BALLINGER was a partner in KIXI-A/SEATTLE and, later, KFKF (changed to KBES, then KZAM, now KQMV)/SEATTLE; he later sold KZAM to SANDUSKY BROADCASTING in 1979 and moved into commercial real estate and was active in golf and acting.
