ALPHA BROADCASTING Sports KXTG (95-5 THE GAME)/PORTLAND morning co-host DWIGHT JAYNES is one of this year's inductees into the OREGON SPORTS HALL OF FAME.
JAYNES, a longtime sportswriter for local papers like the old OREGON JOURNAL, THE OREGONIAN, and the PORTLAND TRIBUNE, will be inducted along with former PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZER TERRY PORTER, Olympic luger JACK ELDER, NFL referee NATE JONES, and golfer JOY SELIG PETERSEN on SEPTEMBER 28th.
"I've respected DWIGHT's work for years and it was a great delight when I came back into the market to have an opportunity to work with him again," said Director of Talk Programming BRIAN JENNINGS. "He is the Godfather of Sports in PORTLAND and a great part of our success on 95-5 THE GAME."
"It's an incredible honor to be inducted into the OREGON SPORTS HALL OF FAME, especially in such great company," said JAYNES. "I love what I do, so being recognized for a career that is this much fun is just the icing on the cake."
