A former employee of GAPWEST BROADCASTING Triple A KMMS (95-1 THE MOOSE)/BOZEMAN, MT was arrested after admitting to stealing several thousand dollars worth of broadcast equipment from the station's studio, reports THE BOZEMAN DAILY CHRONICLE.
TRAVIS PATRICK MALONE was fired from the station on JUNE 21st. Nearly a month later, a station employee told police he saw MALONE carrying a directional antenna and some cable typically used for commercial radio broadcasting. When station employees went to MALONE's home, they saw items that appeared to belong to the radio station, according to court documents. MALONE denied taking the antenna but returned a set of FENDER speaker stands and some cable he said he "he took as a joke."
Police then found an FM transmitter, FM exciter, microphone, mixing board, other audio production equipment and clothes that matched those missing.
