The TENNESSEAN is reporting that SAGUARO ROAD RECORDS artist TANYA TUCKER is suing NASHVILLE music producer GREGG A. BROWN for breaking a contract with her and withholding $170,000 of her personal property.
TUCKER alleges that she and BROWN reached a verbal agreement in 2006 that BROWN’s company, REVELATOR RECORDS, would produce her recordings so she could shop them to other vendors.
TUCKER came up with $145,000 for the project, which she claims he did not use for that purpose, and he left $60,000 unpaid in production fees. The suit also says that BROWN kept the six master recordings that TANYA made and that BROWN stole 29 video recordings of her.
