Grammy Foundation, MusiCares Elect New Boards

The Boards of THE GRAMMY FOUNDATION and MUSICARES FOUNDATION have elected new Officers and Directors. COCA-COCA/NORTH AMERICA Chief Marketing Officer BEATRIZ R. PEREZ will serve as the GRAMMY FOUNDATION's Chair, with former SNOCAP CEO RUSTY RUEFF elected as Vice Chair, and TASTINGROOM.COM Founder/CEO TIM BUCHER elected as Secretary/Treasurer. In addition, CARAVAN ENTERTAINMENT Chairman/CEO GEORGE JONES will now be the GRAMMY FOUNDATION's Chair Emeritus.
MUSICARES' Board leadership remains the same with Board Chair PAUL CAINE, Vice Chair KEN LEVITAN, Secretary/Treasurer SCOTT PASCUCCI and Chair Emeritus JOHN BRANCA.
"Now in their 21st year, both MUSICARES and the GRAMMY Foundation are vibrant and mature nonprofit organizations," said NEIL PORTNOW, Pres./CEO of THE GRAMMY FOUNDATION, MUSICARES, and THE RECORDING ACADEMY. The newly elected GRAMMY Foundation Directors are the BLACK EYED PEADS frontman/producer WILL.I.AM, producer/songwriter DARRELL BROWN, ANOMALY Managing Partner/Dir./Brand Strategy DANIEL CHERRY and Live Nation Pres./CEO MICHAEL RAPINO.
Newly elected MUSICARES Directors are CAAA agent ROD ESSIG; CITRIN partner ARNIE HERRMANN, CHOP SHOP MUSIC SUPERVISION and CHOP SHOP RECORDS Founder ALEXANDRA PATSAVAS; and MEDIABASE WORLDWIDE EVP/Integrated music marketing ALISSA POLLACK.
