WCLV FOUNDATION Classical WCLV/CLEVELAND will move its studios from its present "Radio Ranch" building in WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH to the "Idea Center" building in downtown CLEVELAND where IDEASTREAM PBS affiliate WVIZ-TV and NPR affiliate WCPN/CLEVELAND are located. The station says that it will share space with broadband service ONECOMMUNITY's HEALTHNET.
"By co-locating with ideastream, the two organizations, WCLV and ONECOMMUNITY, will be able to collaborate on programs and services designed to strengthen current efforts and foster new concepts. As opportunities are identified, the organizations will look for ways to work more effectively by partnering with one another," the station said in a press release. "The moves are funded by over $1.6 million in contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations. Additional contributions are being sought, and financing has been secured to cover the estimated $2.3 million cost of the development."
WCLV President ROBERT CONRAD told OHIO MEDIA WATCH that work on the project has begun and is expected to continue through the end of the year.
