A sports reporter was fired by her radio station for wearing a UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA hat to a UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS football press conference.

ARKANSASSPORTS360.COM reports that CARROLL COUNTY BROADCASTING (HOG RADIO) Sports KAKS (THE HOG SPORTSRADIO)/HUNTSVILLE-FAYETTEVILLE, AR fired RENEE GORK after she wore a GATORS cap to a press conference with RAZORBACKS coach BOBBY PETRINO, who closed an answer to a question by GORK by saying, "And that will be the last question I answer with that hat on." GORK, who said she thought PETRINO was joking, posted a note on TWITTER that she was hoping to publicly apologize to the coach and RAZORBACK fans "but I won't get that chance now... I've been fired."

GM DAN STORRS did not comment on the firing but said, "I’d like to wish RENEE the best in her future endeavors. I think RENEE is very talented."
