The 11th annual SALT BOWL high school football game between BRYANT and BENTON HIGH SCHOOLS in SALINE COUNTY, AR on SEPTEMBER 3rd will be the last football broadcast for LANDERS BROADCASTING Variety KEWI-A/BENTON, AR owner JIM LANDERS, who will retire from calling football after the game.
The BRYANT DAILY reports that LANDERS, 75, the former TV sports anchor for CBS affiliate KTHV (TV) and NBC affiliate KARK-TV/LITTLE ROCK and ABC affiliate KAIT-TV/JONESBORO, AR, will turn over football duties to Dr. SHANE KNIGHT, but will continue to call local basketball and baseball for his station.
