APPLE's next bi-annual product showcase has been set for WEDNESDAY, SEPT 1st the YERBA BUENA CENTER FOR THE ARTS THEATER in SAN FRANCISCO at 10a. The announcements came via invitations featuring the APPLE logo carved into an acoustic guitar.

Speculation about the upgrades to the iPHONE and iPOD NANO are ratcheting into high gear. According to APPLEINSIDER, one of the more popular rumors concerns a "significant redesign" of the NANO, where it will now be a smaller device without a click wheel. The popular iPHONE improvements du jour are a "Retina" display and front-facing camera, as well as a new $199 low-end price. Rumors of a major announcement regarding APPLE's television division have cooled.
