Congrats to CAPITOL/NASHVILLE and LITTLE BIG TOWN, whose fourth studio album “The Reason Why” sold 41,940 in its first week according to SOUNDSCAN reports.
This makes “The Reason Why” the highest debuting album of the band’s career. The album debuted this week at #1 on the Country album sales chart and #5 on the “Top 200” across all genres. In addition, the band is celebrating a 2010 CMA Awards nomination in the “Vocal Group of the Year,” marking LITTLE BIG TOWN's eighth nomination and fifth in that category from the CMA.
LITTLE BIG TOWN member KAREN FAIRCHILD said: "This will be a week we never forget and we owe that to the incredible fans, Country radio, and our new label CAPITOL RECORDS.”
“We are so blessed to have our album debut at the top of the charts and to have news of this nomination in the same week is just amazing," added member KIMBERLY SCHLAPMAN.
