SBE Elects Officers, New Board Members

The SOCIETY OF BROADCAST ENGINEERS has re-elected SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP FOX affiliate WSYT-TV (FOX 68) and MY NETWORK TV affiliate WNYS-TV (MY43)/SYRACUSE Dir./Engineering VINNY LOPEZ as President for a second one-year tearm.  Noncommercial News-Talk-Jazz KJZZ-Classical KBAQ/PHOENIX Dir./Engineering RALPH HOGAN was elected VP, with COX ABC affiliate WSOC-TV and independent WAXN-TV/CHARLOTTE CE TED HAND as Secretary and consultant ANDREA CUMMIS as Treasurer.

Elected to the board for two-year terms were HARRIS CORP.'s TIMOTHY ANDERSON, MEDIA ALERT's RALPH BEAVER, CUMULUS' GARY KLINE, NAUTEL's GARY LIEBISCH, CBS RADIO/LOS ANGELES' SCOTT MASON, and CLEAR CHANNEL/NEW YORK's JEFF SMITH. The terms begin OCTOBER 27th during the SBE's annual membership meeting.
