NEWCAP has applied to the CRTC for a new FM transmitter site for its Country CHLW (CAT COUNTRY)/ST. PAUL, AB, which is moving from 1310 AM to 97.7 FM.
The station would move from its presently authorized FM site to the TELUS tower in ST. PAUL, increasing maximum ERP from 16,000 to 22,000 watts and decreasing height above average terrain from 122.6 meters to 80.3 meters. The change is being requested due to problems with lease negotiations at the original site.
In addition, the Commission issued a short-term license renewal for TOUCH CANADA BROADCASTING Religion CJCA-A (AM 930 THE LIGHT)/EDMONTON due to failure to comply with deadlines for the station's annyal returns. The license has been renewed only from DECEMBER 1st, 2010 through AUGUST 31st, 2014.
