CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for FM translator W289AJ/DANVILLE, VA due to interference with the feed signal at the present site and a desire to relocate the station.
SUNNYLANDS BROADCASTING LLC has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for K232AN/EPHRATA, WA, while it continues to await a new antenna.
RADIOSTAR, INC. has closed on the sale of four stations in CHAMPAIGN, IL to S.J. BROADCASTING INC. for $1 million. S.J., headed by CLINT ATKINS, STEVE KHACHATURIAN and JON KHACHATURIAN, acquired Top 40/Rhythmic WEBX (93.5 THE BEAT)/TUSCOLA, Classic Rock WGKC/MAHOMET, and Country WLFH (95.3 THE WOLF) and Top 40 WQQB (Q96)/RANTOUL, IL in the deal.
COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORP. has closed on the sale of Oldies KGIW-A and Country KALQ (Q93.5)/ALAMOSA, CO and K276AU/DEL NORTE, CO to EAST SIDE BROADCASTING, LLC for $150,000.
WJIT BROADCASTING CORP. has closed on the sale of Spanish Variety WJIT-A/SABANA, PR to JP BROADCAST CORP. for $325,000, including assumption of $50,000 in debt.
And HILLTOP CHURCH has closed on the sale of Variety KHGQ (K-HOG)/QUINCY, CA to SIERRA RADIO, INC. for $50,000.
In a deal yet to be filed at the FCC, MARK ACKER's METROPOLITAN RADIO GROUP, INC. is selling silent KIJN-F/FARWELL, TX-CLOVIS, NM to DICK WITOVSKI's NORTH TEXAS RADIO GROUP. LP for $50,000. A previous sale of the station to TALLGRASS MEDIA never closed. JOHN PIERCE AND CO., LLC served as broker for the deal, with DAVE WAGONVOORD representing the buyer.
