EMMIS Triple A KGSR/AUSTIN has just launched a new HD-2 channel called THE MUSIC LOUNGE. The channel features live performances recorded around AUSTIN from the last 18 years. Most have been collected from inside the KGSR studios as well as KGSR events like Blues on the Green, Lone Star State of Mind, and live broadcasts from The ACL Music Festival and SXSW.
KGSR PD CHRIS EDGE said, "The library currently has almost 700 songs, many of which came from volumes 1 through 17 of the KGSR BROADCAST CD COLLECTION. You can actually hear some of the songs that will make it on to this year’s 'BROADCAST CD VOLUME 18' before it’s released. Moving forward when we have an artist in the KGSR Music Lounge with us, those performances will be added to the station. We’ll constantly be updating the playlist."
KGSR will be celebrating the launch of the Music Lounge HD2 channel by giveaway one HD car stereo unit every week for the remainder of the year. In addition to receiving The Music Lounge at 93.3 HD2, you can also stream the station from KGSR.com.
KGSR’s "BROADCAST CD VOLUME 18" will be released on NOVEMBER 26th and will benefit the SIMS Foundation.
