Northwest radio vet BRAD DOLBEER has been named MD for ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A KINK/PORTLAND, OR. DOLBEER has hosted the night show on KINK for the past year and will continue to do so, while working closely with PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE on the station’s music mix.
With a career that spans over 30 years, DOLBEER got his start in 1979 at Country KRDR/PORTLAND and he was at several Rock stations in town during the ‘80s. In 1990, DOLBEER made the move to SEATTLE where he became MD/DJ at KMTT (THE MOUNTAIN). In 1994, he joined THE RESEARCH GROUP as Dir./Rock Programming, where he spent the next six years. In 2000 he returned to be on the air THE MOUNTAIN. DOLBEER returned to PORTLAND in 2006 where he joined Classic Hits KLTH (K-HITS106.7) as APD/MD until he moved over to KINK in 2009.
"I’ve known BRAD since 1992 when he worked up in SEATTLE and we’ve been friends ever since," commented CONSTANTINE. "He grew up here in the PORTLAND area and has listened to KINK since the station first signed on. He is a music guy and is so intimately familiar with KINK -- in fact, he IS KINK and that’s why I’m so thrilled to put him in this position."
"Talk about a dream job! I get to listen to music all day and then play all that great music every night on the radio," said DOLBEER of the promotion. "I could not be happier about working with DENNIS and the amazing team at KINK."
