Santa Barbara AM Goes From Talk To Spanish Oldies

RINCON BROADCASTING Talk KSPE-A (formerly KIST-A)/SANTA BARBARA has flipped to Spanish Oldies as "LA PRECIOSA," simulcasting KIST-F (formerly KSPE-F).

On the dropping of the station's Progressive Talk format, RINCON's KEITH ROYER told the SANTA BARBARA INDEPENDENT, "It's always important in supporting a format to give it enough time to get its legs. Having run this format for five years, we just figured that we need to take a direction that would allow the station to be profitable for once."
