WESTWOOD ONE has completed a re-alignment of its digital business to more closely reflect the rapidly growing digital marketplace in Metro Traffic and Network Radio. RICHARD KOSINSKI, GM of the digital group, is leaving the company to join an entrepreneurial venture in the digital space. KOSINSKI developed the initial digital strategies for WESTWOOD ONE, and, among other things, worked on the acquisition and integration of Sigalert into both METRO TRAFFIC RADIO and METRO TELEVISION. Sigalert, which provides the highest quality traffic information in the industry, is being launched with affiliates now.
"RICHARD is a natural entrepreneur, and we thank him for his commitment and contributions to our growing presence in the digital space. We wish him continued success in his new venture," said WESTWOOD ONE Pres. ROD SHERWOOD.
EZRA PALMER is promoted to SVP/Content and Product Development, covering both METRO TRAFFIC and Network Radio. PALMER has served as VP/Product Development, at WESTWOOD ONE since joining the Company in 2008.
"We look forward to EZRA expanding his role in content and product development as we focus on our digital opportunities, and commit additional resources to leverage the assets of Network Radio and Metro Traffic for our customers," said SHERWOOD.
At the same time, WESTWOOD ONE is realigning the digital business functions of sales, finance and research into the individual operating divisions so the Company can provide seamless solutions for their radio and digital needs.
