Jim Battagliese To Head WTOP In-House Traffic Efforts

BONNEVILLE News WTOP/WASHINGTON has hired traffic reporting and management veteran JIM BATTAGLIESE as Director of Traffic and Transit Operations, in charge of the station's new expanded in-house traffic department. The new operation,to launch in FEBRUARY, is replacing reports from METRO TRAFFIC.

BATTAGLIESE'S long resume includes stints at SHADOW TRAFFIC, XM SATELLITE RADIO, and TRAFFIC.COM. He most recently served as a consultant for companies like RED LASSO and TRAFFIC TALK.

BONNEVILLE D.C. Senior Regional Vice President JOEL OXLEY said, “This is one of the biggest and most important undertakings in the history of WTOP. Having the best, most inclusive and most reliable traffic is a key to our success and we think, in JIM, we have the right person to lead this new venture.”
