The MASSACHUSETTS BROADCASTERS HALL OF FAME inducted its Class of 2010 at a luncheon in QUINCY, MA THURSDAY (9/16) hosted by CBS RADIO News WBZ-A/BOSTON's JORDAN RICH.
This year’s honorees included WCCM--A/LAWRENCE host BRUCE ARNOLD, former WCVB-TV and WNAC-TV/BOSTON VP/GM JIM COPPERSMITH, WIZZ-A/GREENFIELD owner PHIL G. "PHIL D" DRUMHELLER, former WRKO-A, WXKS (KISS 108), and WODS/BOSTON host DALE DORMAN, longtime BOSTON TV news anchor TOM ELLIS, former WBZ-A anchor GARY LAPIERRE, WBUR/BOSTON "CON SALSA" host JOSE MASSO, UPPE/PITTSFIELD founder PHILIP A. WEINER, WCVB-TV/BOSTON reporter/anchor JANET WU, Former WBZ-TV and WBZ-A/BOSTON GM BILL SWARTLEY, and WBUR/BOSTON and NPR "HERE AND NOW" host ROBIN YOUNG.
Also honored posthumously were former WRKO-A/BOSTON News Dir. and CURRY COLLEGE professor ROGER ALLAN BUMP, former RED SOX voice KEN COLEMAN, WBZ-TV and WEEI-A/BOSTON kiddie show host “BIG BROTHER BOB” EMERY, WGBH/BOSTON "MORNING PRO MUSICA" host ROBERT J. LURTSEMA, longtime CELTICS voice JOHNNY MOST, and WHDH-A/BOSTON sales executive HARRY WHEELER.
