FCC Proposes Fines Against Two Stations

The FCC has proposed a $7,000 fine against SKYTOWER COMMUNICATIONS-94.3, LLC for main studio rule violations at Country WULF (94.3 THE WOLF)/HARDINSBURG, KY.  The licensee allegedly moved the studio twice without proper approval; the locations, in ELIZABETHTOWN, KY, were outside the station's principal community contour, although the licensee asserted that they were within the station's "extended" 70 dBu contour as predicted by the LONGLEY-RICE model.

The FCC has also proposed a $7,000 fine against SOUTHERN BROADCASTING & INVESTMENT CO., INC. for a late license renewal application for Oldies WBTY (OLDIES 98.7)/HOMERVILLE, GA.
