Comments on ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON's morning show about a female politician have drawn the ire of women's groups in MASSACHUSETTS, reports the BOSTON HERALD's JESSICA HESLAM.
Producer BILL COOKSEY's joking remarks about Republican candidate for State Treasurer KARYN E. POLITO ("I think she’s hot. She’s tiny, she’s short. She’s got a banging little body on her. Facial wise, I give her about a seven. Body wise, I give her about an eight-and-a-half. Tight little butt. I endorse KARYN POLITO") were met with revulsion when HESLAM asked NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR WOMEN state director CHRISTINA KNOWLES for her reaction. "That is one of the most sexist, outrageous things I have ever heard in my life," KNOWLES responded.
...Why do we need to be appropriate?
Likewise, JUDY NEUFELD of a Democratic Party-related group, EMERGE MASSACHUSETTS, said that "Democrat or Republican, women should not be standing for this kind of treatment. No woman across the board should be treated this way."
POLITI, who has guested with hosts TOM FINNERAN and TODD FEINBURG before, is scheduled to appear on the show THURSDAY; FEINBURG told HESLAM, "I thought it was delightful and humorous and it’s a form of social commentary. And why do we need to be appropriate? He (COOKSEY) also has a crush on JILL STEIN," the GREEN RAINBOW candidate for Governor.
