ALL ACCESS has confirmed that CUMULUS Talk KLIF-A/DALLAS PD PAUL DUCKWORTH is stepping down from his post after two months on the job to deal with health issues. The veteran programmer joined the station in JULY after exiting CITADEL Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON earlier in the year; he has also worked at KVI-A/SEATTLE and KPAM-A/PORTLAND.
That leaves KLIF in need of a PD. The station is looking for candidates with large to major market programming experience in spoken word radio; the ability to aircheck and coach high profile talent to maximum performance; understanding of ARBITRON ratings and PPM methodology and "how to drive ratings by identifying and creating great content, supporting that content through TSL/formatic elements, audience recycling and effective cross promotion"; the ability to "engender passion and generate buzz in the community through radio station activism and local involvement in local hot button issues"; a "keen understanding" of managing and strategy; "great" writing and editing skills including effective on-air branding, imaging and promo production; budget management skills; and the ability to be well-organized, self-motivated, have high energy and passion for the job, be an effective multi-tasker, and have a competitive attitude driving him or her to win.
