"American Idol," has made it official, AEROSMITH lead singer STEVEN TYLER and pop star/actress JENNIFER LOPEZ will be new judges for the competition’s 10th season. And, look for INTERSCOPE, A&M, GEFFEN Chairman JIMMY IOVINE to also join the show as an "in-house mentor."
TYLER and LOPEZ join RANDY JACKSON for the start of auditions TODAY (9/22), "Idol" host RYAN SEACREST said at an event in LOS ANGELES.
"I want to bring some Rock to this roller coaster," TYLER said at the news conference.
SIMON COWELL, ELLEN DEGENERES and KARA DIOGUARDI have all left the FOX TV program, making JACKSON the only remaining judge from last season.
