Embroiled Preacher Cancels Joyner Interview

Mega-church leader BISHOP EDDIE LONG canceled a live interview which had been scheduled for the syndicated TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW this morning. ROLAND MARTIN, who does news segments on the JOYNER SHOW, was supposed to interview LONG. 

Instead CRAIG GILLEN, LONG’s attorney, issued a few brief statements saying he advised LONG not to do any interviews at the present time.

This whole issue stemmed from a series of lawsuits filed by three young men, all in their early 20s, who were members of LONG's NEW BIRTH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH just outside of ATLANTA. The suits claim  LONG used his power and influence to force them into a sexual relationship. According to lawsuits filed in DeKALB COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT, LONG took the young men on lavish trips, bought them cars and other gifts. 

LONG adamantly denies the allegations.
