Roy Wood Jr. To Host WBHJ Morning Show In Birmingham

COX RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WBHJ (95.7 JAMZ)/BIRMINGHAM has a new look to its morning show. Coming in to host is comedian ROY WOOD JR. WOOD replaces BUCKWILDE, rumored to be headed for KKDA/DALLAS.(NET NEWS 9/21).
WOOD, who grew up in BIRMINGHAM is a former head writer and producer of the BUCKWILDE MORNING SHOW and his prank phone calls have been a staple of 95.7 JAMZ. WOOD finished 3rd in the latest season of NBC's LAST COMIC STANDING and has made appearances on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and more.
In a press release, "COX MEDIA GROUP/BIRMINGHAM VP and Market Manager DAVID DUBOSE commented, "ROY’s prank calls have always been a very important part of JAMZ' success. Having ROY host was a natural when the opportunity arose. We look forward to many years with ROY making the people of BIRMINGHAM laugh during their morning commute."
ROY will be joined on the ROY WOOD JR SHOW by co-hosts NU YORK and WBHJ mainstay B.MONEY. The show will air weekday mornings 6 to 10 am.
