STAGEIT Founder/CEO EVAN LOWENSTEIN, who's also member of pop-rock duo EVAN AND JARON, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural BMI "Content, Copyright & Commerce" symposium during the DIGITAL HOLLYWOOD FALL in SANTA MONICA, CA (www.bmi.com/panel). The one-day symposium will be held on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20th as part of the DIGITAL HOLLYWOOD schedule.
LOWENSTEIN will be interviewed by industry critic and e-mail newsletter writer BOB LEFSETZ. LOWENSTEIN and LEFSETZ will focus their discussion around a single question: If ELVIS PRESLEY were still alive today, would he tweet? In answering this question, they'll discuss the changing entertainment and music industry and the solutions to the challenges of creating successful businesses to serve the art of music.
Combining his tech knowledge with his passion for music, LOWENSTEIN created STAGEIT, a web-based platform that enables performers to make money from live, interactive experiences while offering fans a front-row seat to a backstage experience.
"EVAN has created an exciting technology platform for songwriters, musicians and creators in the entertainment space that we feel exemplifies the future of the digital space," BMI's RICHARD CONLON said. "His keynote address will confirm how he took his passion and acumen and created business solutions to build a platform to build brands and careers. We're happy to kick off the day with EVAN’s insights."
