Steve Davis Named Program Director For WIAD

ZAPOLEON MEDIA STRATEGIES SVP/Consultant STEVE DAVIS has been named as the new PD for CBS RADIO Hot AC WIAD (94.7 FRESH FM)/WASHINGTON, D.C.

"I’m thrilled to have STEVE join our team in D.C," said SVP/Market Mgr. SAM ROGERS. "He is a first-rate programmer and manager. We are anxious to have him lead FRESH to the next level."

DAVIS had worked for ZAPOLEON MEDIA STRATEGIES for over 13 years. He worked with stations in a variety of formats in all sizes of markets as well as supervising the company’s European consulting efforts. "I am incredibly excited," he said. "To be a part of the CBS RADIO team is a programmer’s heaven. It has been a great run with my partner and dear friend GUY ZAPOLEON but this is an incredible professional opportunity."

Prior to joining ZAPOLEON MEDIA STRATEGIES DAVIS was VP/Programming for the NEXTMEDIA GROUP. He also served as PD for stations in cities such as ATLANTA, PHILADELPHIA, TAMPA/ST PETERSBURG, RICHMOND and BIRMINGHAM.
