AIR AMERICA RADIO announced today that CEO DANNY GOLDBERG is stepping down from that position and taking on the role of Vice-Chairman of the network. As part of this transition, the company's board has appointed JACKSON HOLE GROUP Pres. and CEO JIM WIGGETT as Acting CEO, and has started a search for a permanent CEO.
"The appointment of DANNY GOLDBERG to this new role reflects AIR AMERICA’s desire to strengthen its outreach efforts to the progressive community and several key strategic alliances," said PIQUANT LTD. (AIR AMERICA's holding company) Chairman ROB GLASER. "These are areas where DANNY brings unique skills and experience."
"My commitment to AIR AMERICA and enthusiasm for its mission is very strong," said GOLDBERG. "I have been, and will continue to be, primarily interested in the development of content and in its marketing, that is where my passions ran in the music business and where they run in other media including AIR AMERICA. This new position allows me to focus on the areas of most interest while allowing someone else to grow the business and build on our already established success."
