BBC Essex Host John Hayes Dead At 81

Condolences to family and friends of BBC ESSEX afternoon "DRIVETIME" 4-7p host host JOHN HAYES, who died THURSDAY in a hospice in CHELMSFORD, ENGLAND after a battle with lung cancer at 61.

HAYES joined the BBC in 1992 after working at several commercial stations in ENGLAND.  He co-hosted morning drive before moving into the afternoon slot.
