Carrie Underwood Plays First Show At The Hollywood Bowl

ARISTA/NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD brought her critically-acclaimed “Play On Tour” to LOS ANGELES over the weekend, performing to a sold-out crowd of 17,000 fans on SATURDAY (10/2) at the HOLLYWOOD BOWL. This was CARRIE’S first concert at this prestigious venue, performing alongside the renowned HOLLYWOOD BOWL ORCHESTRA.
Among the highlights of the show were CARRIE’S rendition of the hymn “How Great Thou Art,” in which she received the loudest and longest standing ovation of her career, a surprise appearance by RANDY TRAVIS for their hit duet “I Told You So,” and Rock guitarist ORIANTHI’S guest appearance for “Last Name.” The concert concluded with fireworks choreographed to performances of “Before He Cheats” and “Songs Like This.”
The “Play On Tour,” also featuring special guests BILLY CURRINGTON and SONS OF SYLVIA, will play to over 100 cities in 2010 before wrapping DECEMBER 19th in CALGARY, ALBERTA (CANADA). For more info, see www.carrieunderwood.fm.
